Inspite of its sensitivity it has great filtering mechanisms and give a lot less false alerts as compared to Valentine V1. Escort Redline detects radars on various bands including X, K, Superwide Ka. It also detect POP signals using radars.
Escort Redline also has laser detection capability including both front and reas laser detection. but if you need protection from laser then you need to purchase a laser jammer as laser detection can save you only if somebody has been tagged with laser in front or back of your vehicle.

Here is my take down on Escort Redline Vs Escort 9500ix Radar Detectors. Both are from the same company and both are similarly priced around $500 range but the similarity ends there. Escort Redline is made for detection sensitivity whereas 9500ix is for overall comprehensive coverage. Let me explain in more details.
Escort Redline is a no bell whistles hard core Radar Detector which aims to detect the radars from longest range possible. Its dual antennas spare no radar and even detect over the hill and around the corner radars and provide the longest time among all the available radars. The major functionality it is missing as compared to 9500ix is the GPS integration. So you are unable to save false alerts or have access to escort database on other detection systems like photo cameras etc. But when it comes to hardcore radar detection nothing beats the Redline.
Escort 9500ix is more suitable to city driving where you need to be comprehensively covered against all kinds of radars and other detection devices whereas Escort Redline is indispensable for Highways with its early detection and detection of over the hill or around the corner radars with more than sufficient time for the driver to reduce his speed.
All in all both Escort Redline and 9500ix have their own uses and are also similarly priced, what suits you depends on your driving style and location.
Escort Redline Vs Valentine One (V1)
Valentine One or V1 as its popularly called is very popular among drivers due to its detection sensitivity and has been one of the best selling radar detector for quite some time. It is also similarly priced as either Escort 9500ix and Escort Redline.
In our road tests conducted over different road terrains and locations Escort Redline was able to outperform and give more lead time over Valentine 1 on various radar bands and was able to locate over the hill and across the corner radars significantly earlier than Valentine 1.
Escort Redline also has better and earlier detection of Photo Radar as compared to Valentine 1 which was significant for taking evasive action.
Also Escort Redline filters false alarms much better than Valentine 1 and give in our experience 4 times less false alarms then Escort Redline.
All in all Escort Redlineis the new Ultimate Radar Detector when it comes to Range and Lead Time and scores handsomely over Valentine 1 on Range as well as false alert filtering.
Conclusions
After testing Escort Redline vigorously and with various different radars we have come to the conclusion that it is the best when it comes to Range and providing Lead Time to the drivers. It can detect all the frequencies better than any other Radar in the market and gives the least false alerts except compared to GPS enabled radars. It is an absolute necessity if you want the best security from radars on the highways and is completely invisible to RRD’s where using radar detectors are banned. But if you are a city driver then you are going to miss the GPS facility of Escort 9500ix to reduce false alerts and protection against photo cameras and red light detectors using the escort database.
So we recommend Escort Redline if you are mainly a highway driver and need the maximum lead time to make adjustments but if you are a city driver then we suggest having a look at GPS enabled radar detector like Escort Passport 9500ix.

We were unable to find any complaints of this Radar Detector over the internet. However, some people found that if Escort Redline had GPS capability then it would be the best radar detector on market.
